Teddy Ruxpin, since his introduction in 1985, has greeted everyone with his classic tagline, "Can you and I be friends?" and based on his loyal following, he has gotten more than a few positive responses. Every Teddy Ruxpin fan has a different story, a different reason why the illiop became such an endearing character for them. Some were fans from the beginning, perhaps, as myself, when they recieved Teddy Ruxpin the toy as a Christmas or Birthday gift. Others grew fond of Teddy during the television series.
