Teddy Ruxpin Online is brought to you by
two very dedicated & lifelong Teddy Ruxpin Fans...
WEBMASTER
JOSH Is a 23 year old living in the western
United States. He recieved Teddy as a Christmas gift in 1986 and has
been a fan since. These days he works a 9-5 job while chasing
elusive dreams of a writing career. He hopes to help reach a new
generation of Teddy Ruxpin fans with the site since the 2005
re-introduction of Teddy by BackPack Toys. Josh believes Teddy
Ruxpin is the greatest and most positive character ever in the
children's entertainment genre and also finds a great deal of
entertainment value in the Teddy Ruxpin storyline for all ages. Most
of the graphics and all of the text/writing on the site, unless
otherwise noted, comes from Josh. He has also conducted all of the
interviews on the site.
Josh is very proud to call Ken Forsse, the creator of Teddy,
and his wife Jan his friends. Meeting Mr. Forsse, his inspiration
for wanting to become a children's writer, was one of his
greatest experiences.
Josh created Teddy Ruxpin Online in 1998, at the age of 14,
after finding some old Teddy Ruxpin episodes in boxes that hadn't
been opened since a move in 1991. He quickly rediscovered his
affection for the character and wanted to help a younger audience
discover Teddy Ruxpin as well, which is why he created the site
initially.
Josh's favorite moments while operating the website include
the interview with Forsse, whom he got to meet shortly
afterward, as well as the interviews with Phil Baron (Teddy's
voice) Maggie Parr, Brian LeMay and Jeff Wilson. Another cool moment
was speaking to Baron on the phone.
Josh's favorite stuff is usually simple but real- he's not
real high maintenance. His favorite movies are anything with John
Candy or Arnold Schwarzenegger, although "Planes Trains and
Automobiles" is probably his favorite overall. Josh is also a huge
Superman fan, and is a fan of the Superman movies starring
Christopher Reeve. His favorite current-day TV shows are "Cold Case"
and "Two and a Half Men" on CBS and pretty much anything on Fox
News. His favorite music is Rock and Country, and his favorite Teddy
Ruxpin storyline is "Grubby's Romance"
ART DIRECTOR BEN BONSER
Ben Bonser is a creative
consultant and art director on the site. He aides in the process and
sometimes creates graphics for the site, and generally contributes
his ideas in brainstorming sessions on design issues.
Ben is an English-born artist and writer who is considered to
be that little gnome in Josh's desk drawer. Back in 1999, he began a
project based on Teddy Ruxpin with the goals of being part of the
creative process behind the Teddy Ruxpin character and to bring the
cartoon back to the screens one day. Although his memories of the
cartoon are fuzzy at best (he was three at the time), Ben has
gathered a lot of information and images to rediscover the World of
Teddy Ruxpin. He is the founder of the LegRux-THoR Expansion
Project.
His favorite movies are Batman Begins, The Eye (Oriental
Horror) and The Ring. on the gaming front, Ben enjoys Project
Zero/Fatal Frame, Dynasty Warriors, Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction
and Devil May Cry 1/2/3.
Ben's favorite music includes Farnheit (Or Indigo Prophecy)
Onimusha and various other soundtracks, Korn, Evanesence, Disturbed,
Millencollin, Nickleback and Creed's song "Higher"
